视觉艺术

10-12年级开放. Prerequisites: Studio Art and Art and Design, One Studio art, or permission of the instructor.

This is a yearlong class focused on building skills and a portfolio for college admission.  Much emphasis will be placed on skill building and reinforcing fundamental skills as well as on moving students to use art to communicate their ideas directly.  Some art history 研究 and presentations will enhance the understanding of art in a cultural and historical context. 

进阶艺术工作室

11-12年级开放. Prerequisites: Art and Design, Studio, Advanced Studio, and signature of Fine 艺术 Department chair.

学生 will utilize the mastery gained in previous classes to build a body of work reflective of their interests, 在指导员的指导下.  进一步的探索将在素描、绘画、色彩和设计方面进行.  This is an extremely rigorous course that demands consistent outside work and a clear vision as a concentration statement.  学生将在春季向AP委员会提交他们的作业.

艺术与设计

不需要现有技术知识或经验.  在本课程中，学生将学习绘画的基础知识. This class will explore the fundamentals of image making in 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional art.  The following elements of art are explored: line, value, shape and form, texture, and color.  重点放在技能培养上，鼓励个人表达.
